This wildlife sanctuary is located just outside the bustling city of Nairobi and is Kenya’s first-ever national park. Despite its proximity, the park is home to a wide variety of native animal species. The unique park was established in 1946 and is only 10km away from Nairobi city. The 117 sq. km national park is fenced on one side and open on the other. A game drive will bring you face to face with buffalos, lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, leopards, giraffes, zebras, impalas, gazelles, eland and many more. The park is home to more than 400 bird species, including the secretary bird, crowned cranes, vultures, peckers and African crested crane to name but a few. The Nairobi National Park is open from 06h30 to 18h30.

We will collect you from your hotel at - 08h00 for departure to the Nairobi national park.- You will have excellent wildlife and birdlife viewing opportunities during the game drive. Nairobi National Park has a large and diverse wildlife population. Species found in the park include Cape buffalos, baboons, black rhinos, gazelle, grants, zebras, hartebeest, hippos, impalas, waterbuck and over 400 bird species that include resident and migratory birds. Birds that are commonly seen include hadada ibis, African crested crane, African fish eagle, martial eagle, vultures, marabou stork, go away bird, African jacana and ostrich.
Join us for a short walk on the Mbagathi river trail to show you the crocodiles and hippos. Our stops in the park will include the ivory burning site, Mokoyiet valley viewpoint, the picnic site and the Kingfisher campsite. We will exit the park around 16h00 and return to your hotel in Nairobi city.
