BEST OF NAIROBI DAY TOUR
We will collect you at 09h30. The tour of Nairobi will feature three main tourist attractions: The Giraffe centre, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the Karen Blixen Museum. Our first stop is at The Giraffe (approximately 20 kilometres from the City Centre).
It was established to protect the endangered giraffe, unique to the grasslands of Kenya. The main attraction for both school children and visitors is the opportunity to feed them from a raised observation platform. At around 10h45 we depart for The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which operates the world’s most successful elephant orphan rescue and rehabilitation programme. It is one of the pioneering conservation organisations for wildlife and habitat protection in Kenya. We will have lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant followed by a visit The Karen Blixen Museum (10 km outside of the city centre). The museum is located at the foot of the Ngong Hills and is the former African home of Danish author Karen Blixen. Her life here is chronicled in her most famous book, “Out of Africa”, as well as in her book “Shadows of the Grass”. You will be back at your hotel by 15h00.
